This was one of the first tapes I ever got. It was given to me by an old lady at a yard sale. I bought a record holder from her, and she asked if I knew what it was. I was explaining to her that I did actually. While she smoked, I told her about my record player, how it played Cds and tapes and how I didn't have any cassettes but I thought they were cool. I was probably 15, and just excited to talk. She seemed happy to listen. She told me to hold on, and went back into the garage. A few moments later she returned with three cassette tapes and handed them to me. I hadn't heard any of the albums before, although some of the songs were familiar. As soon as I got home, I listened to them. Something about the way the music sounded made my mind light up. It was different than my records and CDs. There was a texture to the music that was new to me. Those three cassettes are listed here. Seperating them feels wrong, and anyways, the story is the same.
I got this tape as a secret santa gift with my college friends. Visually, I think it's my favortie cassette. I love the J-card, the clear case, the art. DE is my favorite game, and this gift meant a lot to me. I was sick when I got it, and I remember being so excited that I forgot how bad I felt.
This tape belonged to my mom when she was my age. It isn't the sort of thing I usually listen to, but I've grown to really enjoy this album
I picked this up on a whim at a local record store. The Doors were one of my mom.s favorite band back in the day, when she met my dad. When their music is on, he always mentions her.
I got this cassette from the same record shop. I hadn't heard the album before, but I picked it up based on the cover. I've gotten quite fond of this one too
I don't listen to Nazereth a lot, but I listen to my dad making up lyrics to their songs all the time. He sings a lot, and I can go years without ever knowing who wrote the original. Like a lot of his favorite music, Nazereth has grown on me. I like the cover art of this tape, and at $3.00 I knew I was bringing this one home with me
I was introduced to this band by a dear friend a few years ago, and I really love their music. I was suprised to find this tape, but very excited. I think the J-card is really cool, and its one I've seen that folds out into a full lyric book
